Yes.
Go into your steam folder -> steamapps -> common -> oilrush
(something like that).
If you start it from there you have the Windows standalone version.

And then try IRC and VPN:

There might be some people around.

Have fun!

Xml::losd() cant open "D/steam/Steam/steamapps/common/oilrush/bin/unigine.cfg" file
Config::load(): cant open "D/steam/Steam/steamapps/common/oilrush/bin/unigine.cfg" file
Engine::init(): cant initialize filesystem

Do you try to start the exe or the batch file?
I think you need to do it with the batch file (.bat) (Or some launcher?)

Sorry, I'm not on Windows, but I read somewhere else here, that this is possible.

Yeah. It should work that way.

Instead of waiting in the steam-lobby you could talk to other people e.g. over IRC to find a match ( #oilrush channel in http://webchat.quakenet.org/ ). There might even be some steam users around.
You could also open a topic in this forum as a request for an opponent at some time.

Good luck and have fun!

Some work is already done, but the server isn't ready yet, please wait a little bit more, our developers are making their best to implement it.

Any chance you will release dedicated sever binary (no renderer in it) for public to run their own dedicated servers?

yes please, this'll be awesome in LAN games!

so...the 'server' runs on one of the hosts? In addition to the 'normal' game?

The terms are slightly messed up :). Our new "dedicated server" is not actually a dedicated game server, but a matchmaking server, a place where people can meet to play together. And the game itself is always hosted on one of the peers, it does not matter if you play over LAN, over Steam or over internet using the new server.

oh, ok. Thank's for the clarification.
