If I activate my key on steam, will I still be able to download the game from https://store.unigine.com/ and use the key? Or does it get deactivated and I can only play the game on steam from now on?

I want to be able to play the game on both windows and linux.

You can activate the key in Steam and use the same key in our store.
So you can play any platform you want.
