The webpage they are referring to:
www [dot] oilrushdownload [dot] filedisc [dot] net
is a complete rip-off of this site.
Hope you can do something against this.

just try to download it from there, you’ll get a page that claims to hold the files, but wants you to fill in your data to rip your money.
even if you remove that layer with a browser plugin you don’t get the files.
so for now they are not a real problem.
edit: they say you would get
a crack for a drm-free game? oh yeah!

Funny thing is:
You don't need to hack Oil Rush to play it. At least not the Linux version.
I think the Windows version required to be given the key on installation. So a keygen would be needed. (Or someone giving away his key.)
And like DerRidda said: "Whoever tries to get the game this ways deserves to be screwed over."
But then again:
I know myself from times earlier where I used to get also some games somewhere. So I'm not innocent myself.
Funny thing is: the good games I played illegal I now have legal versions off. So I might not have bought them if I haven't played them back there. Who knows...
Good thing I remember from those days: the illegal versions where RIPs. So we missed music and cutscenses and so on.
Nowadays they made a business model out if it and call it "Free 2 Play"

But a corporation like Unigine will suffer more compared to other companies like Bethesda for example. Unfortunately, I don't think that people who hacked it, will buy it.
Sometimes, I downloaded games but what about OilRush? It costs 20$ (not 45$ as many others). It's worth it.
For me, it's not related to price this time. The real problem is the state of mind. Some people don't wanna pay and they want everything for free.

One of my friends told me that as long as he can get it for free he'll never pay, this motherf*cker spent like almost 100$ a week for party.
so, yeah, my opinion is you should treat pirates like they are not exist because they'll never buy your game. Keep up the good work and try not to stress out about piracy.
I love your game and hate to see pirates killing cool game developer like you guys and also the whole pc game industry.

And that is really good because nowadays many games have black-releases before the official launch.
Tomorrow this will change I think because then the real game will show up and those pirates will put it up. And no one can do anything against it.
More advanced protection?also i think that the developers of oil rush should put more advanced protection on the game
Like what?
Needing to be always online? -- Sample: Settler 7 from Ubisoft - got cracked
Steam? -- Nearly every Steam-game has a non-Steam version.
Online activation? -- Sample: Anno 2070: you can activate 5 times. Not problem you think. But you shouldn't change your hardware. For every little change you need to reactivate.
*put your favorit in here*? -- Cracked.
Nearly all copy protection has been cracked.
And you know what? People who bought those games had problems. People who pirated it not.
It's the same with movies.
Watch one illegal online - press play and just see the movie. Really easy and all you want.
Buy a DVD/BluRay - lots of messages and advertisement till you can actually watch the film.
So you pay to get hurt.
Do you like sadomasochism? ;-)
I like how Unigine handles it here.
The support is great.
The game itself is great.
I even can take it on a USB-stick with me to university and play there on those PCs.
I played that way with friends which hadn't bought the game. Still we could play.
And I got people to buy it because they saw the game.
Just get out good games and good support and people will buy those games.
Don't hurt people who buy. Give them extras others won't have.
Make them feel special because they bought.

I couldn't agree more. I think pirates are less of a problem than they are hyped up to be. The numbers [dollars lost per year] are all inflated because pirates tend to download huge masses of material... far more than they would have purchased otherwise. The entertainment industry generally likes to pretend that every pirated copy of a game is a lost sale, which frankly is far from true.
Provide a convinient distribution service (digital download) and a high quality game and people will purchase the game.
However, if you want to fight dirty, you can always plant several trojaned "cracked versions of oil rush" on shady sites around the net. When executed... well.... it's up to you to decide from there how to treat the people who are pirating your game. Fighting terror with terror... it's the american way, am i right?
