I've been following this project for a long time now and want to buy. It sounds like in the forums Ubuntu takes longer to get new builds out to the repositories. Is Desura better in this regard? Which one should I buy it through? I would rather just use Ubuntu since I don't have to use another app but if Desura is more reliable to have the best experience I'll use it. Can't wait to play!

I hope that 0.91 will be in Desura today.
USC has some problems now.

We recommend to pre-order Oil Rush via our online store (you get Desura key as well): https://store.unigin.../goods/oilrush/

I can buy it direct from you but still get the benefits of Desura keeping it automatically up to date? That's excellent.

Yes, you can. Moreover you'll get Steam key on January, 25.

As binstream said:
buy it directly from Unigine (https://store.unigin.../goods/oilrush/) and you will get all (builds for Win, Lin, Mac, soundtrack, access, etc) and some extras (e.g. Desura & Steam keys). You can even download everything from Unigine directly.
Buying from Desura you won't get a Mac build. Same for USC: no Mac, no Win.

I bought the Oil Rush pre-order but I don't have a Desura key for it. Should the key on the download page work in Desura?

Awesome, thanks. I saw the post by binstream on another related thread and realised I had to remove the hyphens.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind you to kick all kinds of butt over at Canonical to make absolutely sure the full version gets released in the USC not a single day later than the other versions. Botching up the beta updates is one thing, doing so with the 1.0 release is unforgivable.

I have a bit of buyer's remorse. Loving the game so far, but I bought it on Ubuntu Software Center and not through the website. I read prior to purchasing that it's available with one purchase on any platform, and since I also run a windows laptop, decided it was a good value. It wasn't until later that I discovered my error of how I bought it.

Is there anyway I can prove my purchase on USC and get a key for windows (steam or anything)?
